Dance Class

Serrano offers two levels of dance classes during the school day.
Both classes are a-g approved (f- performing arts elective).

Dance I

There is no prerequisite for this class. Dance I offers an introduction to some of the most popular forms of dancing: Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theater, Contemporary, and Tap. This class is very helpful to students new to dance or looking to be more involved in other elements of performing arts that involve basic dance skills (Musical Theater, Show Choir, Color Guard).

Dance II

Dance I/Instructor Approval needed (students new to the program must attend the first day of Dance Team Auditions to get approval for this class) Intermediate/Advanced dance. Students are challenged with more complex choreography and technique as well as working on creating their own dances. Jumps and turns, lifts and tricks!  You’ll do it all through various styles of: Jazz, Hip Hop, and Contemporary.

Dance Team (a-g approved, 7th period after school hours)

Audition Only: Auditions begin April 3rd!

Hope Bags

Socially Aware Serrano Students (SASS) is a group that strives to bring happiness and support to those in our community when they need it most. SASS is collecting the following items that will be assembled into care packages for the homeless. The packages are gallon-sized Ziploc Bags, so the items must be small enough for at least one of each listed item to fit in the bag. We ask that all of the donations, from lip balm to granola bars, will not melt.  The dollar stores are a great place to find inexpensive items! Thank you so much for your participation!

All items are due to your WIN teacher by Friday, March 23rd and the WIN that collects the most items will receive a pizza party.
